PM Modi arrives in Canberra to address Australian Parliament

Canberra, Nov 17: Few hours after Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the Indian Diaspora at Allphones Arena in Sydney, he arrived in the Australian capital, where he is scheduled to address the parliament.

The official twitter of the PMO confirmed his reaching the Australian capital.

"PM @narendramodi has landed in Canberra," it tweeted.

"Brisbane in the morning, Sydney in the afternoon and now Canberra," it added, posting a photo of the Prime Minister being received by the Australian Minister for Foreign Affairs Julie Bishop and other dignitaries of that nation at the airport.

Earlier in the day, Modi magic was seen at the Allphones Arena in Sydney where thousands of migrated Indians in Australia chanted Namo Namo giving a warm and grand welcome to the most popular figure of India in Kangaroo soil. Modi showed his charisma here expressing his feelings towards his nation. He talked about so many things that touched the NRIs' heart.

After addressing the Australian parliament here, Prime Minister Modi is scheduled to travel to Melbourne, before departing for Fiji for the third leg of his three-nation, 10 day trip.
