Odisha invited to participate in Gujarat Vibrant Summit 2015

Bhubaneswar, Nov 19: In a significant development, Odisha has been invited to take part in the Vibrant Gujarat Summit 2015, which would pave a way for investment and business in the state.

The Summit has been the most successful event over the years providing a broad platform where all the states can showcase their strength and attract the investors for business.

Odisha, which is in run for growth in industrialization, should be a partner in the growth story, Minister of Social Justice and Empowerment, Gujarat, Ramanlal Vora said here on Tuesday.

Vora, who visited Odisha capital to promote Vibrant Gujarat Summit 2015, invited Odisha government, corporates, business bodies to participate in it to script a new era of industrialization in the state.

The event, which witnessed the participation of 121 countries with over 2,100 foreign and 58,000 Indian delegates in 2013, is set to be bigger in 2015. It attracted around 17,719 investment proposals. More than 60 per cent of the proposals materialised against a national rate of 20 per cent, the Minister said.

Attending a seminar hosted on the occasion, former chairman of Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), Odisha and CEO of Dhamra Port Company Limited Santosh Kumar Mohapatra said the summit had turned into a business gateway of India.
