Bhubaneswar, Nov 21: Rajya Sabha MP Pyari Mohan Mohapatra was grilled by the CBI for a marathon four and half hours in connection with the mega Seashore chit fund scam on Friday.
Walking out of the CBI office after grilling, Odisha Jan Morcha chief Pyari refused to say what he was asked about by the central agency.
Talking to media person when asked repeatedly about the grilling, Pyari said, "As an investigative agency, CBI keeps such things secret. So why should I speak about it?"
However, he admitted that he was interrogated face-to-face with Prashan Das, Seashore CMD.
When asked about the allegations that several bureaucrats and politicians had links with the chit fund firms, former BJD No 2 leader Pyari did not make delay to drag chief minister Naveen Pattnaik into the case.
"If CBI thinks the CM has played some role, I am sure it will summon him for interrogation", said angry Pyari while leaving the place.
Mohapatra was grilled for more than 4 hours to unearth some possible political links in the case. He appeared before the CBI for interrogation at 10.15 am and came out of the office around 2.30 pm.
Earlier, he was interrogated by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) for over two hours last week.
