Logjam continues in Odisha Assembly over Chit Fund Scam

Bhubaneswar, Nov 22: The opposition parties both Congress and BJP continued to stall the House for the third day over multi-crore chit fund scam and derogatory remarks against BJP female member Radharani Panda on Saturday.

While Congress created a huge uproar targeting chief minister Naveen Patnaik for allegedly facilitating the chit fund firms that have duped over a crore depositors in the state, BJP members were seen to disrupt the House for alleged remarks by Agriculture Minister Pradeep Maharathy against their female colleague Radharani Panda, who approached the Speaker Niranjan Pujari demanding justice.

Following the logjam, the Speaker was forced to adjourn the House till 11.30 am.
