25th State Film Award: Sala Budha Best Film, Archita Best Actress


Bhubaneswar, Nov 22: The Odia film "Sala Budha" bagged the best film award in a glittering function of the 25th film award at Utkal Mandap here on Friday receiving the maximum appreciation for its plot.

While filmmaker Sarada Nayak was conferred with Jayadev Award that carried a cash award of Rs 1 lakh, a citation and a shawl, by chief minister Naveen Patnaik, filmmaker Sabyasachi Mohapatra received Mohan Sundar Dev Goswami Award as the Best Director for his film "Sala Budha".

The Best Actor Award went to Atal Bihari Panda for his role in "Sala Budha" and Archita Sahu received the Best Actress Award for her role as a police officer in "ACP Sagarika".

The Best Supporting Actor award was conferred on Ashok Das (Bachelor), Best Supporting Actress was Sadhana Parida (Rumku Jhumana), and Antaryami Panda received the Best Comedian award for the film "Gadbad".

Similarly, the Best child actor award went to Bhumika Das (Rumku Jhumana), Best Music Director Award to Pankaj Jal and Ghasiram Mishra (Sala Budha).

While noted singer Ira Mohanty received the Best Female singer award for the film "Mu Raja Tu Rani", Ratikanta Satpathy was awarded the Best Male Playback Singer for lending his voice in the film "Rumku Jhumana".
