Lucknow/Gorakhpur/Noida, Nov 22: The Samajwadi Party workers across Uttar Pradesh celebrated the 75th birthday of its party supremo Mulayam Singh in a grand manner and marked the occasion as Samta Diwas across the state.
"The people of UP are celebrating Mulayam Singh's birthday as "Samta Diwas" as he always promoted transparency, equality and secularism. The people of UP and Samajwadi Party are grateful to be under his guidance and with utmost success he has worked against injustice," said a senior SP leader in Lucknow.
"His birthday is being celebrated in the entire nation, and all of us are excited as he gave a new vision to the country. He brought forward poor farmers and youth. He rules everyone heart," added an SP worker in Gorakhpur.
Meanwhile, SP workers in Noida also cut a cake to celebrate the birthday.
Earlier today, Mulayam Singh Yadav inaugurated a medical college in Rampur District of Uttar Pradesh.
He also distributed cycles to laborers after the inauguration.
