20 Human Skulls, Skeletons Found near Konark

Konark, Nov 24: In a shocking incident, more than 20 human skulls, bones and skeletons were found under a bridge on Kushabhadra river at Liakhia on the Puri-Konark marine drive in Odisha on Sunday morning.

Apart from 20 human skulls, police found three buffalo skulls and some bones from the river bed under the bridge. The skulls have turned dark and some puja materials were also lying at the site that indicated that it could be another case of human sacrifice.

The police began investigation at the site on the basis of information from some locals. They have detained a Tantrik and interrogating him to put some light in the case.

A case has been registered of unnatural death at the Ramachandi police station. The skulls and skeletons have been sent to the Forensic Medicine and Toxicology  department of SCB medical college and hospital in Cuttack.
