Smriti Irani in Controversy for meeting Astrologer

New Delhi, Nov 24: Union Human Resource Development Minister Smriti Irani landed in a fresh controversy after meeting an astrologer, who predicted her to be the President of India.

Irani drew the media attention when she visited Karoi village in Rajasthan with her husband Zubin Irani to meet Pandit Nathulal Vyas on Sunday.

She wanted to express her gratitude to the astrologer, who had earlier predicted her to be a minister even if she loses the Lok Sabha election.

After getting HRD portfolio in Prime Minister Narendra Modi cabinet, she met Pandit Nathulal Vyas and asked him about her future.

Interestingly, this time, the astrologer predicted her to attain a big post that is President post in her future.

However, Smriti defended herself saying, she did not even have a birth chart (birth Kundli or horoscope). She wanted to meet the astrologer so visited there with her husband.

Smriti has been a target of the opposition Congress ever since she was given the HRD portfolio in the cabinet. Earlier, she was criticised for her education educational qualification and her move to remove German as the third language at the central schools.
