Chit Fund Scam rocks Odisha Assembly, No Debate Yet

Bhubaneswar, Nov 25: The opposition parties continued to create logjam for the fifth days in Odisha Assembly by raising slogans against ruling BJD over the multi-crore chit fund scam.

As soon as the House began in the morning, the opposition BJP members came to the middle showing banners and posters demanding a debate on the ponzi scam. However, Congress staged a silent demonstration in the House for which the Speaker Niranjan Pujari was forced to adjourn the House twice first till 11.30 am and then till 3 pm.

The leader of Opposition Narasingha Mishra decided to skip Business Advisory Committee meeting alleging decision being taken in the meeting partial.

Yesterday, the House was adjourned for the day after the opposition members threw banners towards the Speaker's podium and broke his mike for not allowing a debate on the chit fund scam.
