Pradeep Sethy names Media Channel in Chit Fund Scam

Bhubaneswar, Nov 26: In a startling revelation today in the chit fund scam, accused Pradeep Sethy, the CMD of Artha Tatwa Group, dragged a local news channel into the case exposing that it had  taken Rs 5 crore 50 lakh from him.

Giving a statement while being taken to a local court here for appearance on Wednesday, Sethy asked why the media channel OTV was not investigated in the ongoing probe by CBI into the chit fund scam. He agreed to be on Remand for further interrogation during which he would expose many more people involved in the scandal.

Sethy was produced before the court along with 18 others linked to AT scam including Mumbai model Preeti Bhatia after his remand ended today.

It can be noted that the role of media in the mega ponzi scam in the state could not be ignored. Earlier, the media personalities including Madhu Mohanty, Bikash Mohanty, were interrogated in connection with the scam and now they are behind the bars.

If the CBI would act on the statement given by Sethy, the media major OTV would land in trouble and many journos would come under its scanner.
