Timeline set for Completion of Projects in Odisha

Bhubaneswar, Nov 26: In an attempt to expedite several projects in Odisha, the project monitoring group of cabinet committee on Infrastructure has set a timeline for completion of the pending works related to industrial projects.

Reviewing the projects, VP Joy, joint secretary in the cabinet secretariat, has fixed a timeline for the completion of pending work including forest and forest and environment clearances. He reviewed 25 projects in both the public and private sectors that included industries, railways and national highways.

"We reviewed about 25 projects. Issues of land acquisition and forest clearance were discussed. There is good progress here. Project issues were discussed and sorted out," Joy told reporters here after the meeting.

However, the Posco project was not reviewed at the meeting.
