BSE to conduct OTET on Dec 7

Cuttack, Nov 27: The Odisha Teachers Eligibility Test (OTET) will be held on December 7, according to a notification issued by the Board of Secondary Education (BSE) on Wednesday.

A total of 93,952 candidates will appear for the test in 207 centres across the state. The test will be held in two sittings. The first sitting will be held from 10 am to 12.30 pm and the second sitting will start at 2 pm and will end at 4.30 pm. Out of 93,952 candidates, 50,634 will appear for Paper-I in the first sitting while 43,318 candidates will appear for Paper-II in the second sitting, informed BSE president Dr Dakshya Prasad Nanda.

Candidates appearing for the test, can download the admit card after entering their name, registration number and other details from the BSE website and take a printout of the admit card.

It can be noted that the BSE conducts OTET twice a year to recruit eligible candidates for teachership in Odisha. Only B.Ed qualified candidates are eligible for the exam and the qualified candidates are considered for the job in the state-run schools.

The first OTET was held on August 10 this year in which about 90,000 had appeared.
