HC defers Hearing on Bail Plea of Manoj Das to Dec 2

Cuttack, Nov 27: Orissa High Court on Thursday deferred the hearing on bail plea of Manoj Das, one of the accused in Artha Tatwa (AT) scam, till December 2.

Manoj, owner of a private TV channel, was arrested by the CBI for his alleged links with the AT Group, a major player in chit fund scam that has duped thousands of depositors alluring them of double returns of money.

Yesterday, the court had reserved the verdict of CBI court and khordha district and sessions court of newspaper owner Madhu Mohanty, another accused in AT scam.

Meanwhile, two officials of the Registrar of Companies (ROC) have produced before the CBI today for the interrogation in connection with ponzi scam.
