Land Agreement Paper between Pravat and Seashore sent to Lab

Bhubaneswar, Nov 29: The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has sent the agreement paper between BJD MLA Pravat Biswal and Seashore Group to forensic laboratory to examine the signature of accused Prashant Dash, the CMD of the chit fund firm.

The CBI will decide its next course of action after getting the test report from the lab.

The land deal was made in 2011 to sale 34 guntha of land that Laxmi Bilasini Biswal, wife of Pravat Biswal, possessed at Benapur Mouza in Jajpur district to Seashore Group at Rs 29.25 lakh.

Prashant Dash had reportedly paid Rs 25 lakh in two installments (Rs 15 lakh and Rs 10 lakh) in cheques during April 2012 in favour of Mrs Biswal. The rest of the amount was to be paid after final registration.

However, the deal was cancelled after May 29 coup when Dash did not show any interest to purchase the land and wanted his money back. According to Pravat Biswal, the money was refunded to Dash by July 20, 2012. But his wife is yet to receive the money receipt from the company.
