2-Day Trip of Pranab Mukherjee to Odisha starts from Today

Bhubaneswar, Nov 29: President Pranab Mukherjee will start his two-day trip to Odisha from today to attend several programmes and events.

The president is scheduled to inaugurate the Golden Jubilee Celebrations of Utkal Sangeet Mahavidyalaya in the evening. He will also visit skills development learning labs at Centurion University of Technology & Management in Bhbaneswar today.

On November 30, Mukherjee will inaugurate the Vivekananda Memorial Building at Ramakrishna Ashrama, Rampur, Kalahandi, before visiting Lord Jagannath temple in Puri. He will inaugurate the Golden Jubilee Celebrations of Rama Devi Womens Autonomous College, in the state capital on the same day before leaving for New Delhi.

Security has been tightened ahead of his visit. Four DCPs, more than 10 additional DCPs, 300 officers, 35 platoons of force are deployed for the security of the President, said RP Sharma, Commissioner of Police.

Special arrangement has been made in the traffic system to have smooth passage of the vehicles of President. Lanes and by-lanes connecting the main rout will be sealed minutes before he lands at the Bhubaneswar airport in the evening.
