8 Wounded in Srinagar Grenade blast

Srinagar, Nov 29: Just few days ahead of the second phase of polling in Srinagar, the militants hurled grenade at a CRPF bunker at Lal Chowk here that left seven civilians and one jawan injured.

The area has been cordoned off and search operation is on to nab the terrorists. The injured were rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment.

The attack comes a day after the terrorists were killed in encounter in Arnia sector of Jammu region close to Indo-Pak border. The Militants have been trying to disrupt the polling in the state by targeting the army and CRPF jawans, who have tightened the security for the poll-bound state.

BJP condemned the attack alleging Pakistan of launching such attacks to stall the democracy in Jammu and Kashmir. Party spokesperson Sambit Patra took to twitter saying, "It seems a high voting turnover in Jammu and Kashmir has left the morale of the terrorists very low."
