Sena may get 5 Cabinet, 7 MoS Berths in Maharashtra

Mumbai, Dec 02: Seems like the BJP-Shiv Sena alliance in Maharashtra will be patched up soon with induction of 12 Sena leaders in Devendra Fadnavis cabinet.

The matter is likely to be sorted out with the joining of BJP's estranged ally Sena in Devendra Fadnavis-led Maharashtra government.

According to sources, Shiv Sena will get 5 Cabinet berths and 7 minister of state (MoS) portfolios. Shiv Sena seems to have decided to back the BJP government after the power sharing formulas were discussed during a meeting last night at Fadnavis' official residence "Varsha" in South Mumbai.

Minister Vinod Tawde, who was present at the meeting, said that top leaders of both parties will discuss the formula today and then take a final call on whether to go ahead with it or not.

On Monday, Fadnavis had expressed confidence that a positive outcome would emerge out of the talks with the Shiv Sena on the allotment of portfolios.
