Chit Fund Scam: EOW arrests Flourish India Director Pradeep Dash

Bhubaneswar, Dec 10: Another accused in the chit fund scam was arrested today by the Economic Offences Wing (EOW) of Odisha Crime Branch. Pradeep Dash, one of the directors of Flourish India Limited, is accused of duping investors of Rs 60 crore in the state.

Several cases have been registered by the investors against the chit fund company Flourish India in Baliguda in Kandhamal district in 2012 and in Barpali in 2013. Dash is the fourth director of the company to be arrested after the arrest of 3 others.

The EOW sleuths have arrested 13 employees of the company, including the four directors, so far.

The crime branch has written to the Finance department asking to attach 251 acres of land belonging to the company, after seizing two vehicles and Rs 1.52 lakh in the company accounts.
