Pravat Tripathy, Ashok Mohanty chargesheeted in Chit Fund Case

Bhubaneswar, Dec 11: In an ongoing probe into the Odisha chit fund scam, the CBI has chargesheeted Banki MLA Pravat Tripathy and former Advocate General of Odisha Ashok Mohanty and 14 others.

The CBI on Tuesday had produced 16 accused arrested for their links with the Artha Tatwa (AT) Group scam at the special CBI court here. Their next appearance will take place on January 12, 2015.

Earlier, the suspended BJD MLAs bail application was rejected in the Khordha district and sessions court on Monday. And his name in the chargesheet was another setback to the political leader.

The legislator was arrested by the CBI for his alleged links with the Artha Tatwa (AT) Group, a major player in the chit fund scam in Odisha.
