RD Womens College to be First Womens University in Odisha

Bhubaneswar, Dec 15: Rama Devi Women's Autonomous College, Odisha's premier college, is all set to be the first women's university in the state and the second in India after SNDT Women’s University, Mumbai, as .

This was confirmed after the Project Approval Committee (PAC) of the Union Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD) cleared the proposal submitted by the state government.

The PAC meeting chaired by the Union Secretary of Higher Education Satyanarayan Mohanty has cleared the proposal under the Rashtriya Uchhatar Shiksha Abhiyan (RUSA). This has been informed to the Higher Education Department of Odisha.
