Omfed Milk to be Costlier by Rs 2 in Odisha

Bhubaneswar, Dec 16: The Odisha State Co-operative Milk Producers' Federation Limited (Omfed) has decided the hike the prices of milk by Rs 2 with effect from December 21.

Following the hike, the double-toned milk, which now costs Rs 30, will be Rs 32 per liter, while toned milk that is available now at Rs 32, will be priced at Rs 34 per litre in the state.

Since the milk farmers in the state have been demanding the price rise of the milk, the government was forced to revise the prices.

The consumers will have to buy at new rates from Dec 21 instead of the old prices printed on the packets.

Last time, the Omfed milk prices were hiked in February this year.
