DSP Panda grilled by CBI Face to Face with Chit Fund Petitioner

Bhubaneswar, Dec 19: DSP Pramod Panda appeared before the CBI for the interrogation for third time in three days in connection with the chit fund scam this afternoon. He was grilled face to face with Alok Jena, the petitioner of the ponzi case in Supreme Court.

Panda reached the CBI office at around 3.30 pm. After 30 minutes, Alok Jena went in the office. Panda was questioned face to face with Jena, who has filed two FIRs against him accusing him of threatening him if he did not withdraw his PIL in the apex court.

Later, three inspectors of the Cooperation department of Government of Odisha also arrived at the CBI office.

It can be noted that Orissa High Court on Dec 15 has rejected the bail plea of Panda, who had moved the court to apprehend his arrest for his alleged links with the AT group, a major player in the chit fund scam, and Jagabandhu Panda, against whom the CBI has filed a chargesheet.
