Maoist Camp busted in Bolangir, Arms and Explosives seized

Bolangir, Dec 29: The CRPF and SOG personnel busted a Maoist camp at Gandhamardan hill region in Harishankar area of Bolangir district and seized a huge cache of arms and explosives after an exchange of fire.

According to reports, the CRPF team led by deputy commandant PK Mishra, assistant commandant Benu Babu and commandant Tapan Kumar undertook a joint combing operation in the hill forest area along the Gandhamardan hill region. During the operation, the security personnel came to know about a Maoist camp atop the hill.

Meanwhile, the Maoists, present at the camp, opened fire at the security personnel who immediately retaliated. Later, the red rebels fled the area following a brief exchange of fire.

The security personnel stormed into the Maoist camp and seized 7 bundles of wire, 37 gelatin sticks, 6 detonators, one laptop, medicine box, food items, uniforms, posters and leaflets.
