Pakistan detains 26/11 Accused Zakiur Rehman Lakhvi again

Islamabad, Dec 30: A day after 26/11 mastermind Zakiur Rehman Lakhvi's detention order was suspended by the Islamabad high court, the Pakistan government yet again detained him in another case under fresh charges.

The bewildered Pakistan, which is not able to maintain a strong stand on the terrorism and of the Lashkar-e-Toiba operative Lakhvi, detained him for the second time ignoring the court's order under pressure from India.

The order comes after the Islamabad High Court on Monday passed an interim order cancelling the detention notification of the LeT operative under the Maintenance of Public Order (MPO).

The court had cancelled his detention order paving the way for release. However, India had strongly condemned the decision, issuing summon to the Pak High Commissioner over this matter.
