Bajrang Dal attacks Theatres showing PK in Odisha

Bhubaneswar, Dec 30: The Bajrang Dal Tuesday protested the screening of Aamir Khan starrer "PK" at various cinema halls in this Odisha capital, demanding a ban on the controversial film. The Hindu group alleged that the film hurts the religious sentiments of Hindus.

The Bajrang activists vandalised the Keshari talkies and Shriya talkies in Bhubaneswar for screening the movie that shows godmen misusing religion for personal gain. They also burnt posters and banners of the film.

Later, the activists went on ransacking the glass panes at ticket counters and pelted stones at the shops inside the premises of the theatre and damaged some vehicles. As soon as the protest escalated, police reached the spot to control the situation.

They opposed the script that insults the Hindu gods and goddesses and
it was against the sanatan dharma, alleging that the movie has been funded by Dubai and Pakistan.
