Pak violates Ceasefire in Samba, 1 Jawan Killed, BSF retaliates

Samba Sector, Dec 31: One BSF jawan was killed and one was injured in fresh firing by the Pakistan troops on Wednesday in Samba sector of Jammu and Kashmir. This is the second ceasefire violation in the past 24 hours in the state.

The BSF retaliated heavily to the firing from the Pakistan side killing two troops. The firing is still on in the area.

The BSF soldier was killed and another was injured when a patrolling party of the force along in Suchtegarh forward belt in Samba sector came under fire from Pakistan side today.

Reacting to the continuous ceasefire violation, Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar directed the security forces to retaliate with "double the force".
