Indian Team announced for World Cup 2015, No Place for Yuvraj

Mumbai, Jan 06: It was a huge jolt for the major players including Yuvraj Singh in Indian cricket after the team for world cup 2015 was announced on Tuesday as they did not find a place in the list.

Yuvraj, who was considered to have an outside chance, his dream for playing the world cup is over now with the latest decision by the BCCI today. Robin Uthappa, whose name was also doing the rounds, also did not get selected in the final 15. Rest of the squad was on the expected lines, with most players picking themselves.

It was a big day for Axar Patel, who was named in the 15-man squad for his performance in Australia and New Zealand in February-March this year. While Yuvraj was overlooked, Ravindra Jadeja was selected pending fitness from his shoulder injury.

Jadeja, who is currently undergoing recuperation, is expected to be fit before India's first match against arch rivals Pakistan on February 15. Jadeja, along with Ishant Sharma, however has been advised to play as less as possible to get fully fit before the tournament starts on February 14.

Meanwhile, Stuart Binny was also selected for the world cup. He was picked as a mideum pace all rounder. The selctors chose Ishant Sharma, Mohammad Shami, Umesh Yadav and Bhuvneshwar Kumar as the four pacers for the upcoming international cricket event.
