Lahore-Delhi Bus Service disrupted following Terror Threat

New Delhi, Jan 07: Lahore-Delhi bus service was disrupted following the terror threats today. This was restricted to Wagah (Pakistan) border only. The decision was taken by Pak authorities after Indian intelligences shared the information that the Pak-India Dosti bus service is on terror radar.

Acting on the information, Pak Tourism Development Corporation decided that the bus service will be now operated only upto Wagah Border.

The Passengers leaving for New Delhi and Amritsar from here will now have to catch the bus at Wagah. Similarly, those arriving here from across the border by the service will disembark at Wagah too, an official of PTDC told PTI. He said that the decision was taken in the wake of increased terror threats.

Indian agencies informed that terror groups are planning a fidayeen attack on the bus service in Pakistan.

Earlier, a suicide bombing at Wagah border in Pak side on November 2 had left more than sixty persons dead. Later, terror strike rocked the country killing more than 150 people mostly school children on Dec 16 in an army school in Peshawar.
