Islamabad, Jan 08: Pakistan Cricketer-turned-politician Imran Khan has married Reham, a television presenter, at his residence.
The wedding ceremony was not a large affair. Imran Khan, 62, is the chief of Tehreek-i-Insaf. He dared to protest against the existing government.
The event was extremely a private affair. There was no grand function took place for the marriage.
The wedding reception after nikaah ceremony is to be held tomorrow, said sources.
According a British media that reported earlier this week, Khan had married Reham, who is 20 years younger to him, in a secret wedding. However, Khan said on New Year's Eve that reports of his wedding were "greatly exaggerated". But on Monday night, he allegedly told reporters at London's Heathrow Airport "I am going to Pakistan to share good news about my marriage".
Earlier, Khan was married to Jemima Goldsmith. But that lasted till 2004. The couple has two sons.
Reham, who was a weather presenter on the BBC, is now an anchor with Pakistani channel Dawn News and has three children from her ex husband.
