New Delhi, Jan 10: Delhi police is planning to question Pakistan journalist Mehr Tarar, who is believed to be another woman with whom Sunanda Pushkar suspected her husband Shashi Tharoor had some affair. The tweets before her mysterious death also revealed that Mehr was in Tharoor's life for which Sunanda was upset.
Since a murder case has been registered, Mehr's role in the death of Sunanda could not be ignored.
According to reports, a questionnaire is being prepared which will be sent to her via email. Mehr, who had met Congress MP Shashi Tharoor sometime before Sunanda's death, had already said that she was ready to answer the all the questions in this case.
Meanwhile, Tharoor's domestic help Narayan Singh during the interrogation revealed that the couple had been fighting with each other over another woman besides Mehr and financial matters. He also revealed that Sunanda was upset with Tharoor for his behaviour and conduct.
Whenever the couple had fights, upset Sunanda used to go to a family friend's place. The domestic help also mentioned about another person Sunil Trakru, who had met Sunanda two days before her death.
Police had questioned Sunil in this matter. However, nothing came to fore. He said that he had received Sunanda at the airport on January 15 on her return from Thiruvananthapuram and left her at Leela Palace hotel where she was found dead on Jan 17 last year. He had met Tharoor and Sunanda in the hotel next day.
He said that Sunanda was frail when he last met her. She wanted to hold a press conference over something before her death.
The SIT formed by the Delhi police also visited the hotel and checked the room where she was found dead. The room has been kept locked since the incident.
The investigators questioned the hotel staff whether they had seen any syringe or injection viral from the room.
The investigators have been looking for the clue after the medical report mentioned injury No 10, an injection mark through which the poison could have administered.
The police have prepared a list of 12people including Abhinav Kumar, who was PS to Tharoor. He had called the Inspector Atul Sood, the then SHO of Sarojini Nagar, about the death of Sunanda.
Police suspected why the SHO was informed on his personal mobile number and a PCR call was made. Apart from him, Bajrangi, Tharoor's driver and all those who came in contact with Sunanda 48 hours before her death will be questioned.
Police will also question another man Sanjay Dewan, the couple's family friend who is believed to be at the hotel suite on that night when Sunanda was found dead.
