Delhi to Go to Polls on Feb 7, Counting on Feb 10

New Delhi, Jan 12: The Election Commission on Monday announced that the elections for Delhi Assembly would be held on Feb 7. The counting of votes would be on Feb 10.

Addressing a press conference, the EC said that the polls would be held in 11,763 polling stations for the 70 seats, out of which 12 seats are reserved for the SC.

There are a total of 1.30 crore voters in Delhi. The notification would be issued on January 14. The last date of filing the nomination form is January 21.

The polls were necessitated in the national capital as the term of President's Rule was due to expire on Feb 15.
