NC offers Support to PDP for Formation of Govt in J&K

Srinagar, Jan 13: Former Jammu and Kashmir chief minister Omar Abdullah on Tuesday said that his party National Conference would offer its support to People's Democratic Party (PDP) to form a stable government in the state, where now Governorís rule is has been imposed.

The NC has written a letter to the state Governor N.N. Vohra offering its support to PDP for the formation of government.

"@JKNC_ (National Conference) has written to Gov. Vohra sahib reiterating our offer of support to @jkpdp (PDP) & asking him to call us before deciding assembly viability," Omar tweeted.

Yesterday, the National Conference had said that it will not support BJP to form the government in Jammu and Kashmir.

After that party's core group meeting on Monday, senior NC leader Mohammad Akbar Lone told media that the party will not give its support to the BJP at any cost, but it was ready to join hands with the PDP if the regional party would work for the unity of the people of Jammu and Kashmir.
