BTown Celebs shine at Red Carpet of Prestigious Award

Mumbai, Jan 15: As the award season in tinsel town is in full flow, several A-lister celebs of Bollywood sizzled at the red carpet of a prominent award function.

A string of Bollywood stars was spotted at the red carpet of esteemed award ceremony including Priyanka Chopra, Shah Rukh Khan, Shahid Kapoor, acclaimed filmmaker Anurag Kashyap, Sudhir Mishra, Divya Dutta, Huma Qureshi and several others.

"Many people have been nominated; whoever gets it we will celebrate. I feel there is competition when four people are making films on the same topic, otherwise there is no competition. I am happy that so many new people have been nominated", said Anurag Kashyap, Director.

Bollywood actor Parikshit Sahni was also present at the award function. He praised the achievement of Rajkumar Hirani’s film PK. He played the character of Anushka’s father in the film.

"PK has been a fantastic trip for me. PK has done wonders and it is a good film. There have been protests but the film is really good. Working in that film is really good", said actor Parikshit Sahni.

Actress Divya Dutta was also seen dazzling at the red carpet of the award function with her infectious smile. While commenting on Obama's visit to India on republic day, the talented actress said it is a great initiative to invite him on this occasion.

"I just wish we strengthen our relations with the country and it gets stronger. It is a very big thing and a big step", said actress Divya Dutta.

Acclaimed filmmaker Sudhir Mishra also made his presence felt at the event. The filmmaker congratulated all the nominees at the award ceremony.

At the prestigious award function, Priyanka Chopra won best actress award for her performance in social drama "Mary Kom". Vikas Bahl's Queen won the title of best film.  Bollywood hunk Shahid Kapoor took the trophy home best actor award for his brilliant performance in Vishal Bharadwaj's  Haidar

"It has been an exciting year and good films have been made this year. May the best people win", said Sudhir Mishra, Director.
