New Delhi, Jan 16: Giving sleepless nights to AAP chief Arvind Kejriwal, the BJP played another stroke by welcoming former AAP leader Shazia Ilmi to its party after Kiran Bedi. Seems like the upcoming assembly elections will be Kejriwal vs Amit Shah, who is known for working on different tough things to strengthen his party.
Kejriwal will now adopt different strategies to win the polls in Delhi as his former party member Shazia Ilmi and Kiran Bedi, the duo know all his drawbacks.
Shazia formally joined the saffron party here today in presence of Delhi BJP President Satish Upadhyay. Earlier in the day, she had met party chief Amit Shah.
Addressing the media, Shazia thanked all the party members for giving her an opportunity to work and serve the people. She hoped that she along with the party will move towards positive politics, bring change and move towards development.
However, she will not contest the Delhi assembly elections, she said.
Shazia had resigned from AAP in May last year stating that the party is deviating from its goal and principles. She had alleged that Kejriwal was ignoring other leaders while taking decisions.
