Hyderabad Engineer held over suspected Links with ISIS

Hyderabad, Jan 17: Hyderabad police have arrested an Engineer for his alleged links with the Islamic States. The 32-year-old Salman Moinuddin was detained at the Rajiv Gandhi International Airport at Shamshabad while attempting to move to Dubai.

Moinuddin was allegedly planning to join the Islamic States after moving to Dubai from where he was to travel to Syria via Turkey. He has also confessed to his planning that he was going to join the Jihadi group, police said.

Police said that he had returned from the US last October. He was scheduled to fly to Dubai on Thursday. Acting on the information from a US intelligence agency, police had been monitoring his movements since he left the US.
