Smriti Irani lays Foundation Stone for IIM Vizag

Visakhapatnam, Jan 17: Union HRD Minister Smriti Irani on Saturday laid the foundation stone for IIM-Visakhapatnam here at Gambheeram village situated on the outskirts of the city.

The Andhra Pradesh government has allotted 388 acres for the IIM campus in the state. This will be developed by the IIM Bangalore.

The IIM Vizag will be operational from 2015-16 from the campus of Andhra University temporarily till the permanent campus is set up at Gambheeram village.

The next IIM campus will be set up soon in Odisha Capital Bhubaneswar.
