Nifty, BSE hit Record High, Banking Shares rise

Mumbai, Jan 20: The National Stock Exchange (NSE) Nifty hit a new record high of 8670.90 points in trade on Tuesday, extending its gain for the fourth straight session on gains led by banks, metal, oil and gas, power and reality stocks. The BSE Sensex also touched over 522 points to close at 28,784.67, breaking the previous record on Nov 28 last year. 

Meanwhile, the shares of HDFC bank, Axis Bank, Tata Steel, Tata Motors, ITC also increased.
