Congress Upset with Kapil Sibal for taking up Saradha Case for West Bengal

New Delhi, Jan 21: The Congress seems to be upset with its senior leader and former union minister Kapil Sibal for appearing for the West Bengal government as a lawyer in the Saradha scam case in the Supreme Court against CBI.

The leader was reportedly asked to review the sentiments of the party workers in West Bengal before taking up the case for the state government.

The TMC government in West Bengal has moved the apex court challenging the CBI investigation in the chit fund scam alleging that the central agency is working on the directions of the Central government.

Kapil Sibal is appearing for the government seeking the court's intervention in the CBI probe into the Saradha scam. However, some congress workers in West Bengal have expressed their resentment and staged demonstration against Kapil's move.
