New Delhi, Jan 22: Former Union Law Minister and AAP's biggest donor Shanti Bhushan praised Kiran Bedi, BJP's chief ministerial candidate for Delhi Assembly polls, saying the Iron lady could be a good choice for the top post if the party comes to power.
Lauding Bedi, Bhushan further said that she could be a challenge for AAP chief Arvind Kejriwal, who is expecting to win the polls with the support of slum dwellers in the national capital.
He said that BJP has played a masterstroke by projecting Bedi as the CM candidate as she was involved in the India Against Corruption (IAC) like Kejriwal. She has vast experience, police service and administration and social service. She is in no way inferior to Kejriwal and she is as influential as Kejriwal in delivering her best in the service.
Bhushan expected that Bedi will provide good governance in Delhi if she becomes the CM.
Reacting to the statement, his son Prashant Bhushan, a Supreme Court lawyer as well as the AAP member, described it his father's personal opinion on Bedi, disagreeing with him. Another AAP leader Ashutosh said that there could not be any comparison between Kejriwal and Bedi, terming her as "Opportunist".
