Obama cancels Taj Mahal Visit during India Trip

New Delhi, Jan 24: US President Barack Obama has cancelled his visit to Taj Mahal in Agra during his trip to India, as he has changed his programme and will go to Saudi Arab to meet the new King.

Obama was scheduled to visit Taj Mahal with his wife Michelle Obama on January 27. However, his cancellation has brought an embarrassment for Indian government as preparations were being made to give a grand welcome to Obama and the US first lady.

Obama changed his schedule following the death of Saudi Arabia King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz. He passed away on Friday at the age of 90. His half brother Prince Salman will succeed him as the new King of the nation.
