Army Colonel, Two Jawans, Two Terrorists killed in Encounter in J&K

Pulwama, Jan 27: An army Colonel, and two Jawans were killed in an encounter with the Hizbul Mujahideen militants in Tral Area of Pulwama district in Jammu and Kashmir today. Two militants were also gunned down in the gun battle.

The encounter began after the army and Jammu and Kashmir police conducted search operation suspecting the presence of militants in Mindora village of Tral. The army colonel Munindra Nath Rai was first injured. He died after he was rushed to the army hospital in Srinagar.

Two terrorists were gunned down in the operation. They were the Hizbul Mujahideen militants and were identified as Adil Khan and Shiraz Dar. The two were said to be locals.
