Former Orissa HC Justice RK Patra passes away

Cuttack, Jan 28: Former judge of Orissa High Court Justice Radha Krushna Patra, who was chief of the panel that was probing the chit fund scam in the state, passed away at the SCB medical in Cuttack this morning.

The 72-year-old Justice Patra was put on the life support system after his condition deteriorated yesterday. He was admitted to the SCB Medical College and Hospital on Jan 24 after falling sick. He was suffering from pneumonia.

The condition did not improve as his body did not respond to the medicines. He breathed his last at 9.30 am today.
