Police take ITR Contractual Cameraman on 7-Day Remand

Balasore, Jan 28: Police on Wednesday took Ishwar Behera, who was arrested on charges of spying for Pakistan intelligence agency ISI, on seven-day remand for further interrogation.

Behera was working with the Integrated Test Range (ITR) at Chandipur Missile Centre as a contractual cameraman. He was arrested on Jan 23. He was sent to judicial custody on Friday after his bail was denied by the district SDJM Court.

Behera had confessed to crime that he was providing vital information about the missiles activities to ISI. He had been working at the ITR since 2007. He hails from Baisinga in Mayurbhanj district.
