ITR Spying: Crime Branch of Odisha Police takes over Probe

Bhubaneswar, Jan 29: The Odisha Crime Branch will probe the spying case in which ITR cameraman Iswar Behera was arrested. The Balasore police have taken him on the seven-day remand for further interrogation following an order by the district SDJM court yesterday.

The crime branch intervened into the matter after the orders from DGP Sanjiv Marik.

A team has visited Balasore to take the accused into their custody.

Iswar Behera, who was working with the Integrated Test Range (ITR) at Chandipur missile centre as the contractual cameraman, was arrested by Balasore police on charges of spying for the Pakistan intelligence agency ISI.

He is accused of providing vital information about the missile activities to ISI.
