Chit Fund Scam: Residence of Microfinance MD raided in Odisha Capital

Bhubaneswar, Jan 31: The CBI raided the residence of Durga Prasad Mishra, the MD of Microfinance Company, a chit fund firm, in Odisha capital.

The house at Aryabhumi Housing Complex in Patia was raided by the CBI sleuths as part of ongoing investigation into chit fund scam in Odisha. Also the offices of the firm in Sahid Nagar and Rasulgarh area were searched by the central agency.

The fresh raids were conducted simultaneously at the offices of the company in Bhubaneswar, Cuttack and Berhampur to dig out more clues against the firm and the MD, who has allegedly duped thousands of depositors in the state.
