Karachi Shia Mosque Blast: Death Toll climbs to 61

Shikarpur, Jan 31: The entire nation mourned the death of the innocent worshippers who were the victim of barbaric attack on a Shia mosque in Shikarpur area of Karachi yesterday. The numbers reached to 61.
The death toll may climb further as several others were seriously injured. They are being treated at the hospitals.

Even though, no organisation claimed the responsibility for the powerful blast on the Imambargah Maula Karballa in Lakhi Dar area of Shikarpur, the involvement of Suni community could not be ignored at all.

According to Pakistan media reports, six kg explosive material was used for the blast and the suicide bomber blew up himself in the middle of the mosque that resulted in the massive damage in the holy structure. The suicide blast targeted Shia Muslims during the Friday prayers.
