TransAsia Plane crashes into River, 8 Dead, 50 Injured

Taipei, Feb 04: In another tragic incident, a Taiwanese TransAsia Airways flight crashed into a river near the Capital Taipei killing eight people on board. More than 50 others were also injured in the crash.

According to reports, the domestic flight ATR-72 submerged in the Keelung River after taking off from Taipei Songshan Airport. The plane was heading to the Kinmen islands carrying 58 people on board. It hit a bridge and crashed into the river.

The rescue operation is on to save people who are injured in the incident.
