Home Secretary Anil Goswami to clarify before PMO over Arrest of Matang Sinh

New Delhi, Feb 04: Home secretary Anil Goswami is likely to be fired from the service as he was summoned by the Prime Ministers Office (PMO) following he explained to home minister Rajnath Singh over the arrest of former Congress minister Matang Sinh in the multi-crore Saradha scam.

After an-hour long meeting with Rajnath Singh at North Block, the minister finally reported to the PMO about the meeting and discussion following which the PMO summoned the bureaucrat for further explanation over the serious issue.

Goswami is accused of putting pressure on the CBI not to arrest Matang Sinh in the chit fund scam. Sinh, who was a minister of state during the then Prime Minister Narasimha Raos tenure, was arrested by the CBI on Saturday in Kolkata on charges of cheating and misappropriation of funds.
