Odisha Police arrest 4 CISF Jawans in Keonjhar

Keonjhar, Feb 05: Four jawans of Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) were arrested by Odisha police for allegedly beating a youth to death in Keonjhar district.

The incident took place on January 31 when Kandra Munda (21) and two of his friends of Bolani had visited an iron ore mines to bring ten sheets. They were beaten up by the CISF jawans following which Munda died and one of his friends was injured.

The deceased's friend was admitted to the SAIL hospital at Bolani for the treatment.

Following the incident, the villagers demanded arrest of the CISF jawans and gheraoed the Bolani police station. The police arrested the accused yesterday.
