Patna, Feb 07: Rift within JD(U) came to fore after Bihar Chief Minister Jitan Ram Manjhi called a cabinet meeting at 2 pm today rebelling against the party high command Sharad Yadav, who has called a legislature meeting scheduled today at 4 pm.
Yesterday, Manjhi had called a separate legislature party meeting on Feb 20, making it clear that he will not attend the meeting called by party chief describing it unauthorized and unconstitutional.
The fate of Manjhi will be decided at the party meeting called by Yadav at 4 pm. He may be removed from the CM post. However, ahead of the meeting, the MLAs and Ministers belonging to Manjhi's camp have started protests. They threatened that they will go to poll if Manjhi will be asked to resign.
Today is a crucial day for Manjhi and Bihar politics as all is not well in the JD(U). While Yadav and Nitish Kumar are not happy with Manjhi, the later is not ready to quit post as the CM.
